“Palestinians Are On Their Way to an Improved Living”

I want to share something interesting about what I read today. It was palestinians normalization of relations with the Arab States, first with the UAE and then with Bahrain, that made it possible for Israel to fall from the folly of the plan of annexation and, subsequently, for the PA to abandon its self-defeating refusal to recognize, by law, tax revenues belonging to its citizens.

The transition will not turn the Palestinian economy around on its own but it is a first step. Now that Sudan and Morocco have joined Israel’s normalization trajectory as well, and Donald Trump is on his way out of the White House, this small but important action could mark the beginning of a concerted effort to ease the occupation and blockade of the West Bank and Gaza, thereby improving living conditions.
